Dr. Euloge Anicet NKOUNKOU, the First Philosophiadoctor in International Law of Petroleum, Minerals and Energy (Doctorate thesis topic: Contractual and Extracontractual Modes of Legal stabilization, substantive and procedural of transnational oil and mining investments in 600 pages) is currently Senior Consultant and Expert in renewable energy with Garethconsulting Firm. Prior this, he works as Special Advisor at the office of the Dean of African diplomatic corps in Canada who represented 34 African countries in Canada. Since August 2011, he was responsible to advise and assist the Dean of African Diplomatic Corps in Canada for special cases of Energy investments. He was also appointed with Ultramar oil company in Canada belong to Valero US oil Corporation. Before that position, Dr. Euloge has served as Expert and International Negotiator of Treaties, the price of Barrels of Oil and Gas and Exploration-Exploitation Contracts of Natural Resources with the Garethconseil Firm specialize in natural resources cases. In May 2009 he worked as Researcher, Legal Associate Fellow to the Department of Natural Resources to the Centre of International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL), Faculty of Law, and University of McGill works in cooperation with a network of developing country faculties of law, and is developing closer ties with the University Of Cambridge Faculty Of Law. He was responsible to assist the CISDL with Natural Resources Law Projects; Legal researches in renewable energy, Climate Change, protection of environment; in international law of sustainable development. During four years, he assist investors and companies with Legal advices concerning International Commercial Arbitration (London Court of Arbitration, ICC, etc.) and Arbitration under the treaties, (the Rules of the North-American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), International Centre for Settlement of investment Disputes (ICSID), European Energy Chapter Treaty (TCE) etc.). He holds Postgrade Diploma in European Law (University of Lausanne) Switzerland (1995); Master’s Degree in business Law & International Trade (University of Montreal (2002); PhD in International Law of Petroleum, Minerals and Energy, University of Laval, Canada (2011). His doctoral thesis (600 pages) treat the area relatively unexplored in International Law of Petroleum, Minerals and Energy. It’s furthermore, the contribution made in the interest of protecting the rights of oil and mining companies in the World. Dr. Nkounkou joins several Oil and mining research groups include the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN), Houston, Texas, USA, since 2007. In January the 25 to 26th, 2012, he hosted by American Petroleum companies and Opal Financial Group as Speaker to International Energy Investment Forum in Austin, Texas, USA. In April 2012 he hosted by UNITED NATIONS (UNCTAD) as International Expert to Speak to the 15th African Oil, Gas and Mines, Trade and Finance UNConference and Exhibition in Congo-Brazzaville and Doha in Qatar. Exceptionally, this 15th OILGASMINE has been designated a pre-event to the thirteenth Ministerial session of United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD XIII) that took place in Doha, Qatar, from 21 to 26 April 2012. Recently he was invited as speaker to the Myanmar oil and Gas Summit 2013.
