A 1) a group of houses in a protected area with restricted access.
B (Your own words here!!) people expect to be safe, to have their private life respected and protected, to live with the same kind of people/ almong people from the same social classes. Idea of social selection, no surprise, no difference to deal with in your daily life.
C it increases suspicion between people/contributes to divide society in groups/ lack of communication / no sense of community, of being part of a society/ no sense of being involved in or concerned by a common set of values.... D People grow cut off from real life / it encourages intolerance and narrow-mindedness . It could be something good on a vacation when people are looking for a period of calm and peace , but very dangerous on the scale of a society. DOCUMENT B E line 11 "public socal life", or line 10 " public ...domain". F 3) People need exchanges with different kinds of people to become full citizens.
G consequences of living in isolation : l. 6/7 "a sense of isolation, meaninglessness for individuals, dissolution of social bonds for the community"
consequences of being a full member of the "public realm" : l. 5 "personal well-being", l.16 "civic dialogue, development of consensus", l.17 "learn about each other and develop public conscience".

H narrow-mindedness / cultural poverty / intolerance / destruction of a sense of community and citizenship
I "civic" (doc A : "civic dialogue", doc B : "civic engagement") = to be a citizen, part of a group made out of different cultures, values, goals... It impliespeople who share this value ,who are willing to use their individual freedom as citizens to help reach mutual understanding in their society. It also implies a notion of responsibilityfor the public life of their country.
EXPRESSION sujet 1 commun à toutes les séries dialogue jeune adulte/parent. Il faut convaincre vos parents de votre projet de travail cmmunautaire: donner les aspects positifs, développer des arguments. + Sujet 2 : pour les candidats de la série LV0 uniquement. Discussion argumentée autour de l'idée d'interagir avec des personnes de son milieu social ou pas. Prendre parti : est-ce nécessaire/positif ou pas? Sujet 3 : pour les candidats de la série L, option LVA. IL fallait choisirundes deux sujets 1er sujet: discussion sur l'importance de participer à des actions communautaires/ artistiques...ou comment contribuer à changer le monde en agissant dans/surson environnement immédiat.
nd 2 sujet: discussion argumentée. On vous demande de prendre parti et de donner des exemples. Le sujet concerne l'importance la sphère publique, lieu d'échanges, de participation, de développement démocratique... Est-ce le seul lieu où la notion de conscience citoyenne peut se développer?
