Transcription with Orra Health - 2 Feet, 4 Wheels and an Android Phone
PR Newswire SAN FRANCISCO, MUMBAI, India and LONDON, September 27, 2012
SAN FRANCISCO,MUMBAI, IndiaandLONDON,September 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --If you are a physician then you would think twice before forgetting your Android phone at home from now on. After a successful launch of its version for the iPhone, Acroseas is launching its Android counterpart in the ever-expanding market place.
Orra Health from Acroseas Global Solutions is a digital transcription app for Android-based phones. With Orra Health, one can take care of his or her patient medical records in three clicks. Now, you can dictate your audio files and store and exchange data on the move with the help of your phone. "Thanks to our close association with physicians and healthcare professionals for the past 13 years, we could stub out almost all major apprehensions and hindrances faced by them and their practices. Complex solutions, high
inefficiencies and security issues were some of the major concerns voiced by the physician groups," asserts Mr. Rajesh Doshi, Director, Acroseas Global Solutions. With Orra Health, a physician can dictate and upload his or her audio recordings and view the transcripts on the move alongside knowing their associated line-count. The technology includes a secure web interface in order to bridge the gap between modern technology and legacy systems. "Our experience with Android phones shows that it has a superior browser and it is very convenient for accessing patient data via portals. Hassle-free access to Epocrates, Skyscape or other large medical reference manuals has proven testimony to the same. Our long-term strategy is to emerge as a leading value provider within the healthcare spectrum where we see a spurt in activities using smartphone applications. In the US alone the usage of smartphone devices and apps is going to increase from 38 percent to 50 percent by the end of this year," said Mr. Doshi. Commenting on the performance of the iPhone version, Mr. Shriram from the Orra Health team says, "We've had a tremendous response so far and we are very positive about the Android version." It would be very interesting to see the performance of the market for Android medical apps, which has become extremely competitive over the past two quarters.
