Le repérage passe par l’amélioration des connaissances des professionnels, quelle que soit leur qualification et leur lieu de pratique (sanitaire, médico-social ou social). Autism and other pervasive developmental disorders (PDD): diagnosis and evaluation in adults  July 2011
Population concerned
Autism is not often mentioned in connection with adults; however, three population groups are affected by PDD:  or psychiatric institutions, or who live atadults in residential care homes home, who have not undergone diagnostic evaluation by a team of specialists and who are not identified as having autism or another PDD;  adults who are known to have a PDD, who are managed in a dedicated facility, and whose diagnoses need to be reassessed in order that they may benefit from recent improvements in knowledge;  adults who are asking, or whose families or medical professionals are asking, whether "high functioning" autism or Asperger syndrome might be a possible diagnosis.
The procedure is composed of two parts: - medical diagnosis using the criteria from international classifications (ICD10, DSM-IV-TR); ts of fuon1 - assessmen ncti that can be used to evaluate all of an individual’ s capabilities and needs and then to prepare a personalised care plan2. The diagnostic procedure is an interdisciplinary clinical procedure. In adults, the signs of PDD are non-specific.
