In this thesis, proxy-based transmission frameworks are considered toimprove the quality of video transmission from several perspectives.Toimprovetherobustnessofvideotransmissionovererrorpronemobilenetworks,aproxy-based transmission strategy is proposed. The proposed system recovers from transmissionerrorsonthedownlinkbyretransmittingcorruptedpackets.
